Couples Therapy
in Charlottesville VA
Helping couples rebuild connection, improve communication, and heal relationship wounds through experiential and trauma-informed therapy.
In our work together, we don’t just talk about the problems—we look at what’s happening in the room, right here and now. My approach is deeply grounded in attachment and somatic practices, meaning we pay attention to how your bodies and nervous systems are reacting to one another.
You don’t have to have it all figured out before we begin. Your willingness to show up as you are is the only starting point we need.
Attachment & Parts
Somatic Healing
Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Transformative Couples Therapy (TCT), as well as Internal Family Systems (IFS), we map the protective parts that show up in conflict, helping you reach for one another with more clarity and compassion. I'll help you both learn to identify and repattern the primary attachment wounds that keep you stuck.
Through therapy modalities such as AEDP and EMDR, we process the underlying wounds and physiological triggers that keep you stuck, allowing for a more secure and regulated way of relating. So much of what we don't know is in the way our bodies feel, communicate and hold memories. I'll help you tune into to this subtle, yet powerful way experiencing your self and your partner.
